Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 1 April 2026

1. Our Commitment

At RESONANCE FOUNDATION, we are committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe digital inclusion is essential and strive to ensure a usable and equitable experience for all visitors to resonancefoundation.org.

We are committed to ongoing improvement of the accessibility of our digital presence and welcome feedback from all users.

2. Applicable Standard

Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This standard provides guidance on making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

3. Measures to Support Accessibility

To support accessibility across resonancefoundation.org, we have taken the following measures:

  • Applied best practices based on WCAG 2.2 guidelines, Level AA, across all pages and templates
  • Used a WordPress theme (Astra Pro) and page builder tools that support semantic HTML and ARIA attributes
  • Ensured sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds across our brand palette
  • Provided descriptive alternative text for all meaningful images
  • Structured content with logical heading hierarchy (H1–H4) for screen reader compatibility
  • Ensured all interactive elements (buttons, links, forms) are keyboard navigable
  • Used form labels and ARIA roles to support assistive technologies in contact and registration forms
  • Ensured our cookie consent banner (WPConsent) is keyboard accessible and screen reader compatible
  • Committed to ongoing review and remediation of accessibility issues as they are identified

4. Conformance Status

resonancefoundation.org is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address all known issues.

5. Known Limitations

We are transparent about the areas of our site that are not yet fully accessible. The following known limitations exist at the time of this statement:

5.1 Third-Party Widgets

  • Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection on forms) — some form elements may not have fully associated labels for screen readers. This is a third-party limitation we are monitoring.
  • CiviCRM embedded forms — certain interface elements within our membership, donation, and registration forms may have insufficient colour contrast or missing ARIA labels. We are working with our CRM provider to address these.
  • Stripe and PayPal payment interfaces — these are hosted third-party payment pages outside our direct control. We encourage users who experience accessibility issues with payment pages to contact us for alternative arrangements.

5.2 Legacy Content

  • Some older PDF documents linked from our website may not be fully accessible. We are progressively updating these to accessible formats.
  • Some embedded video content may not yet have closed captions or audio descriptions. We are prioritising captioning for new content.

6. Technical Specifications

Accessibility of resonancefoundation.org relies on the following technologies:

  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • JavaScript
  • WAI-ARIA
  • WordPress 6.x with Astra Pro theme

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards applied.

7. Assessment Approach

RESONANCE FOUNDATION assesses the accessibility of resonancefoundation.org through:

  • Self-evaluation using browser-based accessibility tools (Lighthouse, WAVE, axe DevTools)
  • Manual keyboard navigation testing
  • Screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver)
  • Periodic review following major content or template updates
